PREFERRED COOKING METHOD

STOVETOP (HOT WATER)

  • Fill large sauce pan or stock pot with water and bring to a simmer.
  • Remove the pouch of product from the tray and place the unopened pouch in the pot and return to a simmer.
  • Heat at a simmer or lower for 20 minutes. Make sure the pot does not boil. You should only see small bubbles rising to the surface.
  • Remove the pouch from the water and allow it to rest for 3 minutes.
  • Carefully open the pouch and serve with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

ALTERNATIVE COOKING METHODS

STOVE TOP (SIMMER)

  • Remove the pouch from its tray, open plastic pouch and empty contents into a pot or sauce pan.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring regularly until the product begins to simmer.
  • Turn heat to low and allow to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Turn off the heat and allow to rest 3 minutes before serving.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS - WE DON’T RECOMMEND IT, BUT IN A PINCH:

  • Open pouch and pour contents of pouch into a covered microwave safe dish or bowl. Warm for 3 minutes, remove from microwave, and stir.
  • Warm an additional 3 minutes and cover.
  • Time will vary depending on your microwave.
  • Let product rest in microwave for 3 minutes before serving.
