PREFERRED COOKING METHOD

STOVETOP (HOT WATER)

  • Fill large sauce pan or stock pot with water and bring to a simmer. Make sure the water does not boil. You should only see small bubbles rising to the surface.
  • Remove the pouch of product from the tray and place the unopened pouch in the pot and return to a simmer.
  • Heat at a simmer or lower for 20 minutes. Remove the pouch with product and let rest for 3 minutes.
  • If desired, the meat can be shredded by kneading the unopened pouch with oven mitts or pot holders until product inside pouch is shredded.
  • Carefully open the pouch to serve the beef and broth with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

ALTERNATIVE COOKING METHODS

OVEN

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Remove pouch from tray, cut open pouch, and place contents (beef & broth) in a baking pan. Do not use the black tray from this package as it is not oven safe.
  • Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and shred beef if desired with two forks. Serve both beef and broth.

MICROWAVE INSTRUCTIONS - WE DON’T RECOMMEND IT, BUT IN A PINCH:

  • Open pouch and pour contents of pouch into a covered microwave safe dish or bowl. Warm for 4 minutes, remove from microwave, and stir.
  • Warm an additional 4 minutes, remove from microwave, and stir.
  • Warm an additional 2 minutes, remove from microwave, and stir. Time will vary depending on your microwave.
  • Let product rest in microwave for 5 minutes before serving.
